Terms of Service
ennote /Last updated:September 1, 2026
1. Scope
These Terms of Service set the conditions for using ennote (the Service) and its related web pages between the operator (the Operator) and users. You must review and agree to these Terms before using the Service.
2. The Service
The Service lets you record, search, and organize people’s profiles, contact details, addresses, birthdays, interaction history, gifts, events, anniversaries, places, photos, related images, notes, tags, groups, social accounts, and connections between people. It also links and displays saved people, places, events, and history.
3. Accounts and Registration Information
You may use the Service without creating an account; in that case, your data is stored on the device and will not transfer when you change devices. If you create an account, provide accurate information and protect your email address and password. You must have the necessary authority for information you register and respect the privacy, likeness, copyright, and other rights of third parties. Obtain consent where appropriate before registering or sharing another person’s personal information, photos, social accounts, or other information. Do not use the Service for discrimination, harassment, surveillance, impersonation, or other improper purposes. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account use.
Minors must obtain consent from a legal representative before using the Service or purchasing ennote Plus. This does not limit any cancellation or other rights available when a purchase was made without that consent.
4. Data Storage and Sync
When you sign in with a verified account, usernames, people, interactions, gifts, events, anniversaries, places, tags, groups, connections, settings, and other content automatically sync to your private Firebase area regardless of whether you use Free or Plus, and images are stored in Firebase Storage. When offline, the Service may show the most recently saved device cache.
5. External Services
The Service uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Cloud Functions for Firebase, Firebase Remote Config, and Firebase App Check for authentication, cloud and image storage, sync, account deletion, update information, and abuse prevention. Place search uses Apple Maps. If you choose “Open in Google Maps,” place names, addresses, coordinates, and similar information are sent to Google Maps. ennote Plus purchases, restores, cancellations, and refunds follow Apple and the App Store’s systems. The terms and privacy policies of these providers also apply.
6. ennote Plus and Payments
ennote Plus is a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription that continuously provides the features shown on the purchase screen, including expanded limits, avatar creation and editing, notifications, and cross-feature search. The period, tax-included price, available regions, and purchase conditions shown by the App Store immediately before purchase take precedence. Apple charges the Apple Account at purchase and each renewal.
Once Apple confirms a purchase, Plus features generally become available immediately. Unless you cancel from the App Store subscription management screen before the next renewal, the subscription renews for the same period. You can continue using Plus until the paid period ends after cancellation.
Cancellation and refunds for subscriptions follow Apple’s procedures and conditions. Deleting your account or the app alone does not cancel a subscription. These Terms do not limit rights provided by applicable law. The Act on Specified Commercial Transactions notice is available at https://ennote-d92d6.web.app/commercial-transactions-en.html.
7. Notifications and Device Permissions
You must allow notification permission to use event, birthday, and anniversary notifications. Notifications are local notifications managed by the device OS and may not appear because of device settings, privacy settings, or your actions.
8. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete device data in Settings and delete a signed-in account from account management. Data cannot be recovered after account deletion. Deleting an account does not cancel monthly or yearly App Store subscriptions, so cancel them before deletion if needed. If deletion cannot finish because of a network failure or similar issue, follow the in-app instructions and try again.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You must not violate laws or public order, infringe third-party rights, access the Service without authorization, interfere with operation, register false information, make automated abusive requests, or use the Service for unlawful or harmful purposes.
If you violate or may violate these rules, the Operator may reasonably restrict use, delete registration information, or suspend or delete an account. Unless urgent safety, legal restrictions, or other unavoidable circumstances apply, the Operator will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to correct the issue when appropriate.
10. Intellectual Property
Rights in the Service’s programs, design, text, and other content belong to the Operator or the relevant rights holders. Rights in information you enter remain with you or the relevant rights holders. You grant the Operator permission to handle entered information only as needed to provide the Service, including storage, sync, display, backup, and deletion.
11. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
The Operator may change, suspend, or terminate the Service in response to laws, security needs, external service changes, or other circumstances. Important changes will be announced in the Service, on this page, or by another appropriate method.
The Operator may change these Terms when reasonable in light of the purpose of the Terms, the need for change, and the fairness of the changed content. Changes with a material impact will be announced with reasonable notice, including the content and effective date. Changes will not apply retroactively to the disadvantage of rights established before the change unless permitted by law.
12. Disclaimer
The Operator does not guarantee that the Service is complete, accurate, continuously available, or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for damage caused by network failures, device failure, external service failures, user actions, inadequate account management, or other causes not attributable to the Operator. This does not apply where the Operator acted intentionally or with gross negligence or where mandatory law does not permit limiting liability.
13. Governing Law, Jurisdiction, and Contact
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. To the extent permitted by law, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes concerning the Service. Contact enappsupport@gmail.com with questions about these Terms. The Operator’s name, address, and other information required by law will be disclosed without delay upon request to that email address.
